Cuban singer Estrella Acosta discovered beautiful and original music by female composers from her motherland. She now presents these songs in imaginative new arrangements by Hilario Durán, Michael Simon and Marc Bischoff. For this musical journey through time her band Esquina 25, featuring top latin jazz musicians, is augmented by the Pavadita String Quartet, which specializes in Latin American music. Together they offer a new look at various styles of Cuban music, in compositions written by these brilliant ladies. Presentation of the CD Mujeres de Luna.
