Afterdinnerjazz has been part of the programming of Radio Hoogeveen since 1994. Together with, at first Niels de Roo as technician and then Gerhard Post, producing and presentation has been in hands of John van Eijsden. The total picture of the jazzworld without the freejazz, passes by in these programs, many times in the form of a theme. Sometimes the actuality determins the contains of the program and once every two months guests appear with their own choice of music.
