Souljazz. The Sidewinders, based in Amsterdam, just love it, and play the records of their souljazz heroes forever. Music from the beginning’ of the sixties, when modern jazz was influenced by gospel, latin and boogaloo and became more funky. Showing up on the famous Blue Note label were Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley and others. The Sidewinders play their best compositions in the classical line up of trumpet, tenorsax and rhythm section.

The sensation caused by souljazz fifty years ago, The Sidewinders bring it all back live on stage now. Straight, snappy, full of swing.
